I’ll add that taking the L’Esperance Trail down to the rum factory ruins and then ascending via the Reef Bay Trail (or vice versa) makes a nice alternative to going down and then up the Reef Bay Trail. Also, snorkeling out to Waterlemon Key can involve current, so people should be careful. Any point one snorkels around can have some strong current, so be aware. I almost got into trouble, but my daughter reminded me to swim towards shore, rather than going back against the current.

Snorkeling at Trunk Bay is mediocre, but it is a pretty beach.

Hello Anne. I saw both of your comments so I will answer both here. I’m not sure if there is a place to rent scooters on the island, but you could call the Westin to see if they know more. However, even if you could get a scooter, you would be very limited as to where you could use it, as most places are beaches or not scooter accessible, so I don’t know how much good it would do for you to have one. We stayed at the Westin in 2021 and yes, the concierge was extremely helpful, our room was very nice, updated, and clean. They do have golf carts to take you around the property, as it is quite large, but it can take 5 to 15 minutes for the golf cart to arrive at your room, once you call for it. But we very much enjoyed our stay and would consider staying there again on a future trip. Cheers, Julie

We are limited in our mobility. We can walk with a cane or walker, but need a scooter or golf cart for most situations away from the Westin Villa’s. Are we able to rent a mobility scooter or golf cart on the island? If so, where?
